Before you begin to install the Android Marshmallow 6.0 on your phone, I think it will be in your best interest to know if your device is compatible. If you own a Google Nexus 5x or 6p, well I guess you have no issue for its already pre-installed on your device. But if you're making use of Nexus 6, Nexus player, Nexus 5 or Pixel player, I guess you would have received a message about updating your Android version Lollipop to marshmallow via the OTA notification. Other devices, you should wait for your manufacturer to send you a notification about needing to update your device OS. To know if your device is eligible, simply go to settings>>>About phone>>>System updates to check if there is an update for your device. If there is, nice one! kindly backup your device first before making an upgrade as it always carries risks.

Now you can start the upgrade process but please make sure that your phone's battery is full to avoid switching off while updating. There is not a good news for most devices, so to be on the safe side, charge your phone to the brim. Downloading the file using mobile courier data is quite expensive as the file is very large, so I'll advise you switch to a nearby WiFi around to do the upgrade.

  • After you've flashed your device, go to fast boot mode, this method defers in all Android devices. So locate the one for your own device. After which you must have booted your phone via the "fast boot" mode. Then go to your folders, locate the particular file you downloaded your marshmallow into, then double click on it to initiate the installation process.
